I am moving closer to connecting with my WHY. Why I LIVELIGHTLY. Why I Sparkle in the world of Design?
LIVELIGHTLY feels like a light, around which my millions of ideas, dreams, infatuations and philosophies flit and dance around like hyper-speed, hyper-colour hummingbirds.
As discover Luxurious Simplicity, I glimpse LIVELIGHTLY in little moments of stillness, in amongst the ridiculous tizzy.
Today instead of resisting, I surrendered to the tizzy, capturing the fluidity, movement and colour of this delicious messiness, and the shimmering flowing stillness within.
Painting. Creating. Living. Loving. I’m discovering it’s not about having a painting to hang on the wall. It’s about losing myself in the swirling colours of wet paint, experiencing them flow and meld and melt together, my hand holding the brush but not at all in control of perfect impermanent chaos which flows out onto the page.
When I mix colours on my palette, and gently wash my brush, the colours dance in front of me, suspended for a second, then cloud the water.
When the paint dries, the vibrance becomes dull and flat.
I don’t want to spend any more moments trying to hold onto the last brushstroke.
Life is now. I am here. In this brushstroke. In this moment.

LIVING. LEARNING. LIGHTLY.
I am capturing lessons. Things I have learned, am learning, or re-learning. And in this way I anchor the messages within myself. I want to sink my fingers into Colour. Sparkle. So my idea is this. I am going to paint. Yes. With my hands. Paint. Brushes. I am so excited to push my boundaries. To try something new. To create something beautiful. It will be scrappy. Messy. Electric-hued. To embrace my inner artist. With an abundance of glitter, which is my idea of Luxurious Simplicity.
